THE STORY OF
HARICOT VERT EXPEDITIONS
Haricot Verts Expeditions began with a heartbreaking experience for a young Jim Glasscock.
One day, during an outdoor event, a young woman caught his eye. She was lovely. She was interesting. Jim was interested.
She was eating green beans right out of the can. She was walking toward him. She offered him a green bean. He politely declined.
"Okay," she said.
Without another word, she spun around and walked off before Jim could say anything.
For Jim, the green bean (haricot vert in French) stood for trying something new or out of the ordinary. He vowed never to pass up a green bean opportunity again.
Since that time, he has climbed mountains, run across the Sahara Desert, kayaked the Caribbean and has eaten many green beans.
However, he still turns down mushrooms. Well, you know what they grow them in. |
